Corporate Compliance

Corporate compliance covers the filings, records and approvals that companies and LLPs must maintain under company and related laws.

What this covers

  1. 01Annual filings and returns
  2. 02Board and shareholder meetings and resolutions
  3. 03Statutory registers and records
  4. 04Changes in directors, capital and registered office
  5. 05Responses to notices from regulators

How it generally works

Companies must comply with the Companies Act, 2013 and its rules, including annual returns, financial statements and event-based filings with the Registrar of Companies through the Ministry of Corporate Affairs portal.

Missed filings attract additional fees and penalties, and prolonged defaults can lead to disqualification of directors or the company being struck off.

Sector-specific businesses may also have to comply with regulations of other authorities.
